titleFlex Stock

If you create a stock take report within FLEX it will generate the report for the device, in addition it can be viewed on the main VW system.

FLEX provides you the ability to record variances as well as indicate additions to the stock within the location, all of which can be viewed on the output report available in the historical stock take reports option within VW

When you complete the stock take on FLEX it will load this data back into the main VW system, record it and then you can report on it.

Some sample screens are shown below all with test system data, this is just to show you what it looks like.

You will notice above that there is an option to add a new row, this allows you on FLEX only to take a note of something in the location which is not showing on the stock report.

This will be recorded and on the report showing discrepancies.

From a stock take you have to choose whether to adjust the stocks, it could simply be in the wrong location, so investigation is usually necessary

titleVW Stock Take Creation

You can generate your own stock take report from the warehousing reports “Stock Take New” option.

Tip

The minimum information required to produce a stock take is SITE CODE and either CUSTOMER or WAREHOUSE

The other fields are options and can be completed if you require, unless you know the aisle, row, height information then you should lookup a location from and to.

On the output you can hide the quantities and produce either a PDF or a CSV report, or simply just save the report and then access it through the historical stock take reports.

Note

Any issues when the report is produced will be shown in the panel above the save buttons.

Warning

Production of a report manually will NOT make the report available within FLEX and will not allow you to record variances for the report on the system, you can only do this through Vision FLEX handheld option

titleHistorical Stock Take Reports

Contains a listing of all stock takes generated from within VW (for manual stock takes) or using FLEX (where you can enter discrepancies and variations)

A manual VW stock take can not be used on FLEX, it generates its own.

Tip

When FLEX updates the stock take with the results you can add additional items, record variances and then the report is marked as COMPLETE

The output format from this is the same as when you generate a manual stock take report you can have this with or without quantities and you can select from a PDF or a CSV format.
