A Depot is a place where goods are distributed from
Depots can service several sites at the same time and a site can be a site which is linked to Vision Distribution or a site which is linked with a Consignment Customer.

Depot
When you open this form you will be presented with the Depot tab displaying similar to the below.
You can have as many Delivery Depots as you want.
Some may be related to physical Depots within your organization and some may be virtual (used to help organize your Deliveries).
Printer section is mandatory if you have checked the Print a Transfer Note fields
Make sure you are entering the details correct otherwise printing will not work
External Carrier

The External Carrier will need to be filled in if you would use this customer for an Order that will be using an External Carrier.
Charging
If you add Additional Charges to the system then this form allows you to vary those charges for this specific depot e.g. A London Delivery depot may charge more for a timed delivery.
The customer additional charges will over ride this setting.
Routing
This tab is used by the system routing module and will only be used if you have this module activated. An explanation of the fields is below

Max Tour Time (mins) | only complete if you want to set a limit |

Max KM between first and last drops | only complete if you want to set a limit |
Max KM between drops | only complete if you want to set a limit |
Seconds per case to Drop | only complete if you want to set a limit |
Min Time at Drop (secs) | only complete if you want to set a limit |
MAx Time at Drop (secs) | only complete if you want to set a limit |
Accumulate Deliveres at same address | only tick if you want to combine the deliveries for an overall count, used for calculating the max time at a drop. |
Delivery Window for any time | If you are not provided with a delivery window then what times are you prepared to deliver from and to e.g. 0800-2000 |
Delivery Window adjustments for same time | If you are provided with only a single time (fixed booked time) then what flexibility can be given to routing when adding to a routed plan |
Printing
The printing tab is designed to allow you to setup default printers so that items which are automatically printed
Make sure you are entering the details correct otherwise printing will not work
Transfer Printer (inbound)
When you have multiple delivery depots and you are moving goods between the depots, if you need a paper copy of the manifest of items moving TO YOUR DEPOT then set the printer details here.
Transfer Printer (outbound)
When you have multiple delivery depots and you are moving goods between the depots, if you need a paper copy of the manifest of items moving FROM YOUR DEPOT then set the printer details here.
Printer Details
This is the printer where your manifest will print to and along with the number of copies of the manifest.
When you print the manifest if you are using DEPOT PRINTING in Vision warehousing then you will have a manifest printed followed by the delivery notes for the manifest.
Manifest Finalisation Outputs
Which pages do you want the manifest to include, there are 5 different pages all with slightly different information and with watermarks on them to make it clear which copy is for who.
You can also arrange to send this manifest to an email address such as sending it directly to the transport picker/manager whilst you wait for the manifest and delivery notes to print.
Routing Note Printer
There is an option to print the a routing note, this is seldom used these days as routing is either done on the depot plan OR the fully automated routing system.
This prints a basic delivery note used for routing purposes where the key information is displayed visibly on the note and is used in the desk shuffle process of planning your vehicles.
