EPOD - Electronic Proof of Delivery is part of Vision Distribution and is used to keep track of and record successful delivery of goods on Manifest.
It can be used in-house and by Transporters.
Vision EPOD uses a mobile EPOD Device to record who delivers goods, who they were delivered to, records a signature against the recipient, the time of the actual Delivery and when the next Delivery should be made (all of which is passed back to Vision Distribution) via the nationwide mobile network).
Main Menu
When you logon to the application the driver will be presented with a simple menu allowing them to either :
Perform vehicle operations such as the start and end of day vehicle check options and report an accident on the vehicle allowing them to take photos.
Download and manage their manifests which are still outstanding.
Review incoming messages from the office or when they return to wifi at the warehouse to be able to upload photo images
Apply and change theme changes and administrative options.
Device ID, Carrier, Server, and Version are all read-only fields.
Device ID - this will show the Device Identification Number, this is the device number that is set up in the Database so you are able to use the application.
Carrier - this will show the Carrier (Company Name) and Driver Code (Transport Item from VD) - this can be changed in the Options > Admin Options screen.
Server - this will show the server that you are connected to - this can be changed in the Options > Admin Options screen.
Version - this will show the version number that the application is running.
Vehicle Options
Start of Day
It will open the screen to the following which information needs to be entered for the driver to be able to start the day. This information will be sent back to VD and recorded in the database.
Enter the mileage from your vehicle - this is one that you are not able to change.
The question that is shown on this screen is set up in the Vision Distribution Database.
Once all the questions have been answered, the driver is able to press submit.
This can be started before the manifest has been downloaded or after, however, it must be started before Confirm Departure.
This will start the timer next to the Start of Day on the main menu.
End of Day
This can only be done once the Start of Day has been started.
This screen is the same as the Start of Day.
It will open the screen to the following which information needs to be entered for the driver to be able to end the day. This information will be sent back to VD and record in the database.
Enter the mileage from your vehicle - this is one that you are not able to change.
The question that is shown on this screen is set up in the Vision Distribution Database
Once all the questions have been answered, the driver is able to press submit.
If you use this function when you have outstanding manifests / delivery's you will receive a message giving the driver the option to continue with End of Day or continue with the outstanding manifests / delivery's.
This will stop the timer next to the Start of Day on the main menu.

Manifest Options
Download Manifest
This will allow the Driver to download any manifest that has been finalised in Distribution using the Driver Code that is set to the device.
If there are no pending manifests to be downloaded, the driver will receive a message regarding this
If there are manifests to be downloaded, they will show up here.
Clicking on a manifest, will take you to the 'New Manifest - Drop Points' screen.

Current Manifest screen.
This will show the list of Active Manifest for this Carrier/Driver Code.
The following status will show in this screen.
Active - Drops taken place already shows the remaining drops.
Pending - Not Left depot.
Click on the Manifest on this screen and you will be taken to the correct screen.

New Manifest - Drop Points
This screen will allow the driver to sort the drop order, view the deliveries and accept the Manifest.
If the Drop Points have already been set this will show a warning stating that the Drop Points has already been set.
You will also be able to view any delivery instructions / time windows for the delivery before accepting the manifest.
Pressing 'Enter/Change Drop Order' will take you to the Sort Order screen.
Pressing 'Accept This Manifest' will take you to the Manifest Drop Points screen.
Sort
Current Manifest
This will show the list of Active Manifest for this Carrier/Driver Code.
The following status will show in this screen.
Active - Drops taken place already shows the remaining drops.
En Route - Left Depot but not started delivering.
Pending - Not Left depot.
Click on the Manifest on this screen and you will be taken to the correct screen.
Sort Order
This screen will allow the Driver to sort the order of the Manifest.
The Drop Number must be in a sequence and it should start with 1 otherwise you will get a validation message warning.
You are able to enter the same postcode as the same drop number.
Hitting Confirm Drop Order Changes you will be returned back to the New Manifest - Drop Points Screen.

This screen will allow the Driver to add the information of the customer who is going to sign for the Delivery with the acknowledgment of any issues for the line. Which is stated on this screen. When selecting the Secure Location, when hitting the confirm button this will ask the driver to take a photo and this will confirm the delivery and there is no need for a signature. Hitting Confirm will take you to the Signature screen. | |
