Initial integration with HMRC's CHIEF replacement; CDS (Customs Declaration Service). HMRC are phasing in the system, currently, only imports are handled (for the payment of CCT) to replace the CFSP module. In a future release, you will be able to pre-lodge export entries for shippers/freight forwarders.
This Bond release includes the core functionality required, however, is not the complete integration which will follow in a later release, therefore it is not ready for go live until we advise you.

through the CDS Data Interchange screen available in Vision Bond. HMRC’s CDS system is to replace the antiquated CHIEF system which handles electronic declarations for imports into and exports out of the UK, it doesn’t replace any other system such as ATWD nor EMCS. HMRC’s CDS first went live in 2018 handling a small number of specific declaration types and they’ve been continuing to build features into the system and expect it to fully replace CHIEF and therefore decommission it on 31/03/2023.
Vision Bond previously integrated with CHIEF via the CFSP Data Interchange screen handling payments of customs duty for inland locations such as customs warehouses, CDS has now taken over therefore the CFSP screen is now redundant.
