Accessible from the Enquiries\Layout menu option this screen gives an aerial view the warehouse(s).

  • Each location is visually represented by a labeled square, colour coded (see screenshot below) according to content or movements.

Use of these diagrams gives visibility of where stock is best placed according to ease of access and frequency, promoting warehouse efficiency.

warehouse layout is a graphical interpretation of the warehouse, and based on pre-defined colours it will show you the following:

Pick Quantity Hotspots

Tip

%Filled is a live indicator or the location, all others are based on historical movements of stock which is updated dail.

Opening this option will allow you access to the main form.

When you open this form it may take a few seconds depending on the warehouse you have chosen as the system needs to obtain stock levels, so please be patient.

The white box in the bottom left of the Warehouse Diagram

allows you to navigate around the warehouse, within this area :

  • The red box inside the white one shows the area currently being displayed in the Warehouse Diagram. 

  • Click the left mouse button anywhere in the white box to centre the red box and update the zoomed-in view.

  • Click and hold the left mouse button and drag the red box anywhere in the white box to update the zoomed-in view.

The main screen then show's a blown-up area of the area you have highlighted in the bottom left corner.

Select a specific location by single-clicking on it.

  • Any selected locations will be surrounded by a dotted line box with small squares at the corners.

Select multiple locations by clicking on additional locations whilst holding the CTRL key down.

Un-select individual locations by clicking again whilst holding the CTRL key down.

As you select or un-select additional locations the dotted line box and squares at the corners will adjust to fit so you can see the locations you have selected.

Warehouse Selector - pick a warehouse

When you click an aisle we then change the view to a view from the ground looking at the aisle

You can see above we have 5 high rack locations followed by 5 further single high locations.

If you then click again on any of the locations you will then be shown the contents of the location

If at any point you wish to return just use the BACK button on the bottom of the window.

Setup of the Location Overview

Initially, this is dynamic when it sets up your locations, but you can adjust the map to look like a real warehouse, showing aisles and gaps.

To set up your Warehouse Diagrams see the Layout - Warehouse Diagram Admin screen.

Date View Selection

% Filled - shows how much stock is in each location.

Pick Quantity Hotspots - shows how much stock has been Picked from each location.

Location Pick Visit Hotspots - shows how often a location has been visited for picking (regardless of the quantity of stock Picked).

Capacity Enquiry

You can view site, warehouse, and location capacities and fill levels on this window.

Click the Site Code to view the capacity specific to that site.

Capacity is calculated in terms of Cases.

Site Capacity → View the case capacity of the selected site in total and how many cases are there on the site, as well as the percentage filled.

Warehouse Capacity → View the list of warehouses in the selected site and the individual case capacity, cases, and percentage filled for it. The % Full is displayed with a colour code, the same as you saw above for Warehouse Layout. Click any warehouse to view its location capacity on the right side.

Location Capacity → On the left side of each location you are provided with the ‘Warehouse Location Maintenance' button to open the Warehouse Location window for that specific location. On the right side, a 'Stock Enquiry’ button is provided to view the list of stock stored in the selected location.

At the bottom of the window, a ‘Refresh’ button is available, click it to refresh the data. Also, you can select the Case Litreage and click the Excel export button to export the result.
