We are trying to show customers an outline of what is planned over coming releases, sometimes we need to change those developments. Customer comments are welcome prior to the start of each feature, once we start the objectives are defined and we will code to the specification, so if you want to know more about something then you need to speak to us before we start making changes.

Introduction of a new module which will be used for all product returns back into stock and for the generation of credit notes.

Existing credit notes functionality will be disabled within the sales orders, existing information will remain available for histroical purposes but anything after the introduction of the RMA will require the use of the new module. |
The RMA module allows you to generate an RMA for the return or credit to a customer for stocks you have already sent to them, depending on the return reason there will be an option to send the “collect and return” to the warehouse and when the goods are returned to stock the warehouse receipt file (or manual confirmation of the return) will allow the credit note to be produced. In the event that goods are not being returned, then the RMA will allow he credit note to be produced.
An authorisation system for credit notes is also being added which sees credit notes only being issued to customer by selective users of the system.

Following our exit from the EU we felt it would be prudent to review the customs duty payment options available withing Warehousing, with a view both simplify the choice and process and will make stock availability calculations incredibly easier and faster, as a result of this we are considering removing the following options from the customer setup: This will then leave the following options available Pay all customs duty upon receipt only really applicable to those who are only selling within the UK Pay customs duty for each order
In addition should we go ahead with these changes, the additional benefit will allow us to modify the current scheduled customs payment routine, enabling us to set the customs duty paid flag immediately at the point of receipt Customers who use the options which are being deleted will be move to the “Pay all customs duty upon receipt if there is a preference/quota, if not then pay on each order” Our decision to do this was also based upon reviewing the current use of these options and we noticed that less than 0.5% of most customers in the WMS systems used these options. |
