This section contains items from the Movements Group on the stock menu.
The links below take you to the sections on the page
Move Stock
Moving stock around the warehouse is fairly common. The Move stock form allows you to carry this out using either the Rotation number or entering a location.
Rotation Move | see where the rotation is within the warehouse and move any or all to alternative locations. |
Location Move | See all the rotations at a given location and have the ability to move any of those rotations to another location |
FLEX also has this capability available.
Minimum Entry - A valid Rotation Number
Loss in Store
This is also another name for breakages or damages within the warehouse. However this form is a multi use form allowing different types of loss in store to be recorded.
Loss Types
Loss in Store | breakages, damages or losses in the warehouse. |
Authorised Destructions | Generall for Customs/ Excise warehouses - to record items sent for external destruction e.g. out of date items. Can be used for any items if you need to send the items outside of the warehouse. |
Loss in Production | Manufacturing / Production - although this is usually recorded through the manufacturing process automatically there are times when you may need to write some stock off manually. Generally for controlled products such as alcohol. |
You can write off stock losses or adjustments either by using the
Rotation
Location - allows you to write off some or the entire location, especially good for authorised destructions where you may have been building up a large quantity over a period of time.
If you have authorised destructions to make, it is recommended to move those all to the same location, once authorisation is received those goods can be added to a “by location” loss very quickly.
This facility is also available on FLEX to those with the stock management option enabled.
Minimum entry is either the rotation / site or the location/site
Stock Quantities Section
Enter the Pallets, Cases, and Singles against the location that you want to record the Losses.
If entering the value in Pallets and/or Cases make sure the Singles/Case and Cases/Pallet values displayed in the Search Criteria are what you are expecting.
If in any doubt, enter the Total Number of Singles that you want to record.
The UID field displays the Unique Identifier number for the Losses In-Store as they are created.
The Qty Left field displays the Quantity of Stock left for the currently selected Rotation and Line No after the Losses In Store have been recorded.
This is shown as Singles and Cases.
Reason Section is mandatory, you must enter why this is being written off.
Destruction Note
This is not strictly a movement, but it is a by product of entering a Stock Loss in which is marked as an Authorised Destruction, this is where goods are being taken away to an external facility for disosal where a list of the items is required for the movement.
The destruction note allows you to product this note, simply select the lines you wish to show on the note and then “Product Destruction Note”
Usually an authorised destruction is entered at one time (usually same day) therefore you can limit the search to a specific date.
You have to enter a site in order to perform the search.
