Held Orders
Orders can be held due to any of the following reasons:
The customer is on credit stop or over the credit limit.
The order has been placed on hold manually.
Stock Availability and Sales Team Stock Availability.
Payment is required for the order.
You can find held orders in the Processing section of the Sales menu. This screen is more interactive with limits for orders being placed on hold, automated emails, and auto cancellation if a held order goes past its maximum hold time without review.
Within this screen, you can view the order, and the customer account and if you are connected to a finance system you can retrieve the data and check the credit limit and outstanding amount.
You are able to overwrite the payment required using this screen by using the 'Release Selected' button.

Release a Held Sales Order:
To release a held sales order that has been paid and the customer has no credit limit, we use the Credit Issue tab. If you clicked the Credit Issue tab, you will see the buttons at the bottom of the window to release all sales orders as well as selected sales orders.
When you click either of the buttons, a pop-up for confirmation will appear. When you confirm and click the Held Sales Order will be released to the Allocation process.
