Charge Defaults

This tab is used for the Defaults Charging for the Customer.

General

VAT Rate → This will be the default setting for the VAT Rate for the customer.

Account Code → This is also a mandatory field. Type in your finance system account code here.

Nominal Code → The nominal codes against each customer is used for generic unspecified transactions for that Customer. Although nominal codes are set throughout the charging system sometimes users forget and this becomes the fall back entry.

Goods In

Loose Item Charge → It is used for the items that have to be removed from the container by hand. There is a flag on the line on the goods receipt marked as LOOSE and when selected this charge will be made for the quantity of items to be charged. Some warehouses have a standard charge, others charge per items and some charge per resource hour.

Team → If using the options customer team level this is where you set the appropriate team for this customer. Setup of teams is via the User Maintenance, once entered you will be able to select this from the drop-down list.

Pallet Type Charges → All pallet types can be used for this Customer but you can override the default charges using the Pallet Type Charges grid.

Storage

Rotation Qty Banded Storage (Checkbox) → Uses the rotation quantity to work out which Banded Charge to use - this needs to be ticked if you want this customer to use Pallet band charges.

Invoice Period → Used to show the period for the Invoice of the Storage, this comes from Vision Invoicing, if you need to change it then use Vision Invoicing to change the invoice period.

You can change the invoice period but you can not change the charge period without recalculation of the charges (you need to have Support involved for charge period changes).

Changing an existing Customer from one Period to another (from annual to weekly for example) can have unexpected results and is not recommended.

It is better practice to set up a new account for the Customer, set up the new charging, and migrate stock across to the new account.

If in any doubt please contact the Vision Support Team via the support portal.

Stock Charges

Market Value Report Charge → Enter the charge required for sending the Market Values to your Customer.

Condition Reporting (Button) → Click the button and in the opened window you can set up charges applied for different types of condition reporting. You select whether this charge is for each case or report. A checkbox - CR Re-rotation - is given when ticked new rotations will be created for certain condition report types where the full stocked quantity is not reported.

Goods Out

Standard Order Charge → Used when the Warehouse generates Invoices on behalf of the Customer to the Delivery Point. For Goods Out Charges where the Warehouse is invoicing the Customer themselves, they must use Vision Invoicing.

VCIS order charged as EDI → Charges applicable when customer order through VCIS.

Invoice Totals

Set the minimum Storage and Goods In charges that will be applied when this Customer is invoiced.

Override Storage Charges per Rotation

If you wish Storage charges to start before or after the date the goods are receipted (landed) or if you want to avoid charging storage completely you can do so on the Receipting Details on the Pre-Advice when you land the goods.
