System Product Search

This screen can be used to search for existing System Products in your own system or the extensive Vision Live database.

If your Customer is set to use System Products (in the Customer Maintenance screen) they will be able to make use of the LWin product database.

Initially this screen will search in the System Products (based on the information you have entered into the fields without the Search section at the top). If no suitable Product is found you may click the Search Vision Live to search for matching products within the LWin database.

If the Product you are looking for exists, you can retrieve all the details. If the Product you are looking for does not exist, you can ask LWin to create one for you. They will ask you for some additional details.

Once created it will download into what we call the System Product Table. All Customers share access for this table. If a Customer needs to use this Product, we take all the details from the System Product Table and copy it into that Customer's own Product Table.

This process not only allows you to take products from LWin. Where you do not have a link into LWin (for products such as beers or minerals for example) the system will also generate System Product for these as well. instead of going into LWin you would input the details yourself and the system will generate a unique number for you. The unique number begins with the Product Type (so if it was a spirit, it would be ‘S', if it were tobacco it would be a ‘T’, it if was a beer it would be ‘B' or if it was an innocent then ‘I’ or 'Z'. Anything like this can be generated through the system.
