A new method of operation was introduced for underbond deliveries which involves underbond system addresses having specific commodity groups authorised, which can then be checked on Europa.

The introduction of intermediate products into the product groups also seems the existing type I products moved to a new code.

Vision Warehousing v3.15

Subject : Transfers - A substantial change was made to the way in which we process transfers between customers within Vision Warehousing.

Applies to :Any customers with Vision Bond or HMRC customs approval.

Reason for Change: When generating a type T order the system at the point of creation added a pre-advice to the system for the incoming goods, whilst we removed the possibilities of this being landed prior to the goods being picked this was insufficient for the HMRC approval as there was scope for potentially landing the wrong quantity of goods as the pre-advice was not able to be changed even if the confirmed picked quantity changed.

This was leading to receipting of the goods on a separate receipt which then left the original lacking an audit trail which is something HMRC have insisted is in the system OR the receipt was being made and the users were having to remember to remove the additional stocks and if failing to do so would overstate both stocks and the W1 return would be wrong.

Additionally it was not possible to reconcile the W1 return as there was a need to be able to check transfers out = transfers in + preadvices waiting.

Resolution: We have agreed with HMRC that the changes being made are

• to return the system to creating the pre-advice when the picking confirmation has been made, this ensures that the pre-advice is created from confirmed picked information which should then be accurate and that what has left the system is returning back into the system.

Subject  : Warehouse Locations calculations based on pallets - modifications for voice picking

Applies to : All customers

Reason for Change : A growing number of customers are not entering the quantity of cases per pallet this makes the graphical views and auto put away unreliable in that it defaults to a standard cases per pallet ratio and as a result the graphical view and calculations for putaway are not sensible.  

Additionally the introduction of voice picking we need a more structured logical view of the warehouse in order to be able to identify the warehouse/aisle/row/height from the name being used and the location parameters.

Resolution :  To change the field in the warehouse location to be cases rather than pallets
