Within the customer setup you will find an option marked as “Fixed Product Dimensions” this is provided as an explanation of how this works in the system

The Default - Yes

In this instance product dimensions are fixed that is to say that the SPC dimensions on the product and the SPC on the rotation are the same and can not be adjusted with each receipt of stock.

When landing stock onto the system your pre-advice will obtain the product default information from the product table and will pre-populate the stock receipt waiting for the stock to be landed.

A customer at a site will have products; each product will then have stock (rotations) which are receipted when that particular batch of stock arrives and that stock arrival is then put into one or many locations within the warehouse.

The SPC field on goods receipt is locked at this point and further SPC must be the same singles per case, until your receive your first batch of stock the product can be modified.

The No Option

What this allows is for the stock rotation receipt to have its own SPC figure which could be different to the product singles per case.

On Screen - if you are looking at things through a product view of stock this is without the rotation number then we will be showing you the converted figure based on the SPC of the product. If you look at a rotation view then each rotation will use their own SPC.

For example

Product SPC = 12
You receipt 7 cases of 6 SPC

The Product will show 3 cases and 6 singles in stock (based on 12 SPC)

The rotation will show 7 cases in stock (based on the stocks own 6 SPC)

Ordering of the Stock

When you order you can choose to order in singles or in cases/singles, when you choose to order cases and singles then we will ALWAYS use the product SPC to work out how many you wish. This figure should agree to your own system.

If you ask for 1 cases we will (from the above example) assume 12 bottles.

If the stock is in cases of 6 we tell the pick to take from the rotation 2 cases.
