The client can be installed from running the setup programme program or can be copied and pasted if you have a complete backup of the client installation folder.

For RDP customers, once you have a user on the Remote Desktop, the applications are automatically installed.

To request a user for RDP, send a ticket to the support help desk and request for a New Remote Desktop User.

To install on a local machine.

If you are installing by running the setup.exe, then follow these steps.

  1. Obtain the relevant software release. Our recommendation would have a folder for example called 'VD Repository\Client\(release no)\' to store the client setup programmeprogram.

  2. Obtain backups of your current 'config' file and 'Telerik.ReportDesigner.exe.config' file.

  3. Run the Setup.exe and install the software for everyone's use if prompted. 

  4. Restore the ‘config’ files into the root installation folder.

  5. Restore the 'Telerik.ReportDesigner.exe.config' file into the 'VisionBI\ReportDesigner' folder.
