There are two types of licenses - those for the server and those for Vision. This section deals with the Vision licensing in more detail and gives a brief overview of how server licensing works.
Server Licenses
In order to access the Remote desktop of the server you are using for accessing Vision applications, each named user must have a logon to that server, this provides the user with the security, profile and some personal space for storing documents.
This is named user licenses. As you have employees join, you increase the licenses used and as people leave you can ask for them to be removed.
When you ask for them to be removed their personal space and profile are deleted so many customers wish to retain this for a short time after the employee leaves.
Each user can only be logged on to the remote desktop at any given time. You can not share these licenses or logons between users.
Vision Licenses
How Does it work ?
We maintain the central license information and each 24 hours your server will check the license and update it. This is usually carried out by the first user after the end of the 24 hour period, any changes will then be updated to the license.
Can I Update if needed ?
Yes, you simply press the UPDATE button on the license module.
How do the licenses work ?
You can click the application name in blue to link to the user setup page.
