This screen is used to create new or edit existing Vehicle Types used in the Route Planning

  • Code

    • A unique code for the Vehicle.

  • Description

    • A description of the Vehicle.

  • Vehicle Profile from the list.

    • This is required so that the Automated Routing can properly allocate a load to the Transport Item. 

    • The available options are:

      • Truck

      • Bicycle

      • Car

      • Pedestrian

  • Driving Period Factor.

    • This is how much longer than the standard time this Vehicle Type takes drive.

      • If left empty or shows zero then it is considered to be the normal driving time.

      • If it's 2 then it's double the standard time.

      • If it's 4 then it quadruples the standard time.

      • etc.

    • For example:

      • If you are towing a trailer and this reduces the max speed from 70mph to 60mph, the Driving Factor would be something like 1.142

  • Any Service Codes

    • Select any that have been set up on the Add\Edit Service

    Codes screen can
    • Codes screen that can be used by Automated Routing to determine whether this Vehicle Type can be used for drops that have matching Service Codes against them.
