  • The Charges set up in this screen will be used for any Postal Area with this Delivery Area (unless other Charges overwrite these).

  • The Delivery Area is linked to the Country and to the Postal Area on a Delivery.

    • VD validates against the Country and the Postcode fields to determine how goods will move and the costs of any charges.

  • It is possible to have multiple Country Codes or Postal Areas associated with a single Delivery Area.

    • For example, Delivery Area: ZONE1 could contain Postal Areas: N, NW, E, SE, SW and W.

    • This would allow a single delivery charge for ZONE1 to be applied to all of those Postal Areas.

  • The Charges set up on this screen will then be used when using this Delivery Area, providing there are no other Charges which can overwrite these.

  • By entering the number of Cases into the Use ‘Use Pallet Delivery Depot From fieldfield’, you can set the Delivery Area Depots (below) to use different Charge Bands, Delivery Depots, and Carriers depending on the number of Cases to be delivered.

    • Once you have set your limit, add the correct Case Band, Case Delivery Depot, and Case Carrier for any delivery less than the set cases. Do the same for Pallets when equal to or greater than the limit you have set.

    • If you want to use the same Case Band, Delivery Depot, or Carrier for Cases and Pallets, just enter the same value in each.

  • If there a specific Lead Time for all deliveries to this Depot, enter the number of Days for Cases in the Day Lead Time field and the for Pallets in the Pallet Lead Time field.
