This tab is used to record the contacts against the customer, setup the Vision EDI reports

Contacts are setup for notification purposes and notification with customers utilises sending emails to them for specific purposes.

In addition you can also setup the contact to receive the scheduled Vision EDI output which are sent via email to them, and configure the default notification emails.the customer.

Email addresses entered are most often an individual, but they can also be group email accounts (also known as aliases or mailing lists such as ‘purchasing@domain.com’ which are distributed to a number of different people).

Note

Before the tick becomes available on this form the Reports must be scheduled in EDI. Setup directly in EDI (Scheduling Reports) or the customer can do this via VCIS (User Profile)

GR

Goods received advices, if the contact should receive receipt advices for stocks received

Do not confuse this with Goods Receipt within EDI this is NOT the same option, the advices are known as the instant GR which are generated at the point of the goods receipt.
EDI is scheduled at specific hours or daily or weekly

QA Release

Notification when manufactured stocks are released from QA freeze / hold

Short Pick

Notification when orders being confirm picked with less stock than ordered

There are other new notifications which can be setup to inform customer contacts of specific events, the list in this window will continue to expand as new features are added.

In order for the contract to be notified they need to have a tick against the notification ID they want to receive information about and then you save the record

Email

Tick the ‘Email’ button if the contact should receive all invoicing emails. If there are different contacts that you want to receive different invoice emails, use the ‘Specify’ button instead.

If your customer integrates their own system (such as Vision Commerce) electronically with Vision using the file method (not API), you can setup a dummy contact account to receive the information.
