This gives information relating to your Users.

Only authorised users are allowed to see this screen

User Maintenance

Click the edit button to amend the users details

  • This tab gives you details of all the Users set up to have access to VD and the Group they are assigned to.

  • You do not need to put the Home Depot in the User Depot section

  • You will need to add the Access Rights for each of the Depots that this user has access rights to

  • You are able to mark the user as Active or not Active

Group Maintenance

  • This tab is where you Set-up or Edit Groups and specify what Access Rights the Groups have

  • You are able to create a new group by adding the Group Name and clicking Add group button 

  • If you make any changes to any of the existing groups, you must click on the Save button to confirm the changes

  • This is a list of all the functions that can be Enabled or Disabled. 

  • If you wish the Group selected to have access to a certain function then tick the box next to the name of the function Then click Save. Any user assigned to this Group will then have access to perform this function

BI User Maintenance

  • The Vision Business Intelligence User Maintenance can be launched from the user admin maintenance screen of the application it's embedded in.  For example, if you're running VBI in Vision Distribution, open Vision Distribution 'User Maintenance' and then open the 'BI User Manager'.

  • Enquiry/Report Access

    • Click the user group, the 'Enquiry View Permissions', and 'Report View Permissions' will show ticks for any enquiries/reports that the selected user group has access to.

  • Enquiry View Permissions

    • Use the 'Type to filter' to help you easily find the enquiry you're looking for.

    • Here you can tick an enquiry to grant the selected user group access to it, or untick it to revoke access.

  • Report View Permissions

    • Use the 'Type to filter' to help you easily find the report you're looking for.

    • Here you can tick a report to grant the selected user group access to it, or untick it to revoke access.

Reports 'Shared' with user groups are reflected here.  See sharing in 'BI Reports'.

  • User Group Maintenance

    • User Groups Section

      • This is a list of the Groups that have already been Set up, when you highlight a Group, it will show you what permissions that the Group has.

    • Enquiry View Permissions Section

      • This lists all the possible options of Enquiries that can be selected for each Group. If you tick a checkbox then this option is available for this Group. Only Users Assigned to this Group will be allowed to see/complete this function.

    • Report View Permissions Section

      • This lists all the possible options of Reports that can be selected for each Group. If you tick a checkbox then this option is available for this Group. Only Users Assigned to this Group will be allowed to see/complete this function.

  • User Maintenance

    • This shows the users that have the Report Designer module access, which allows creating a new reports.
