This screen will show all the Orders that are waiting for confirmation of Despatches
All collections must be confirm despatched
Delivery orders do not require to be confirmed despatched if you are using Vision Distribution (this tab will be grayed out and unusable) , if you are not using Vision Distribution then you can opt to confirm despatch them within the site setup
When an order reaches this stage it is considered confirmed picked and your options of what to do with it are limited, the options are
Continue to despatch the order
Cancel the order - in which case a pre-advice is generated to reland the goods
Adjust the despatch quantity, this will
Despatch the original quantity
produce a delivery note with the adjusted quantity
enter a pre-advice on the goods inwards for the balance quantity which you are no longer sending.
Why can I not just unpick the order at this point.
This is due to the stock being out of the location, there is no guarantee that you can simply put this back into the location, and it has been held in a marshalling area for what could be hours to weeks, so the best control is to create a goods inwards put away where the stock not leaving can be fully tracked through the system
Collection tab
Order which are marked as “Collection from the warehouse” with the appropriate collection code, these orders have been Pick Confirm and awaiting for the Despatched Confirmation
The stock movement, and duty point will be generated when despatch is confirmed
Deliveries tab
This tab is only in use if the system is not linked to Vision Distribution AND the site setup mandates that delivery despatch confirmation is mandatory.
In this event orders displayed here are pick confirmed and awaiting the despatch confirmation.
Stock movements / duty point are created when the delivery confirmation is used
If you are not using this feature OR you are using Vision Distribution then the stock movements / duty point is at the point of PICK CONFIRMATION
Customs Info tab
You will only see orders here if the order requires additional information to be entered, this generally applies to duty suspended movements.
The “Status” column (on the far right by default) shows the reason why the Orders are waiting.
If you use 3rd party companies to transport goods you may not know the vehicle registration until it arrives at your depot.
The system will not request an ARC until this information is filled in so the Order will appear in the Customs Info tab and will wait there until you have entered this information.
You should not pre-fill this field with invalid details (for example TBC) as the system will request and ARC with whatever is in this field and this may cause you issues if the vehicle is stopped by Customs on route.
EMCS Required Field Screen - this screen is used to see, edit and add all the information that is required for HMRC
The Duty Point (Stock Movements created and sent to Vision Bond) occurs when you successfully click the Collect Selected or Despatch Selected buttons against an Order on this screen.
This is only applicable for Collections or Deliveries (if you do not use Vision Distribution to manage your deliveries) - for any other Order types the Duty Point occurs when the Order is Pick Confirmed on the Warehouse Picking Screen
