Picking

Field Name

Explanation of Use

Pick

...

  • Pick Date - If you also use Vision Distribution to handle your logistics, the system will automatically choose the next available Pick Date depending on settings on the current Delivery Area for the Order.

  • You can manually enter a Pick Date by either entering a new date in the correct format of dd/mm/yyyy or use the Calendar Picker Tool.

    • Entering a Date manually will automatically tick the Fix checkbox.

    • Once this field is ticked the system will not automatically update the pick date (based on the Delivery Area). 

Pick Confirm Date - Allows you to enter a specific date for the Order to be Pick Confirmed in the Delivery/Collect Pick Confirm screens.

  • This field will default to blank.

    • A date in this field will prevent pick confirmation prior to the date entered.

SSCCs Required - Tick this field if the order requires a Serial Shipping Container Code.

Date

This is a calculated date based on the delivery method and lead time, see the expand section below for more details.

Pick Group

Can be used to group orders into specific areas, groups and is used frequently by customers with their own vehicle fleet who want to group the vehicles.

Pick Priority

Default : 5

You can set this to higher or lower and if using FLEX or the Waiting Pick the person will prioritise or demote the order for picking.

Pick Confirm Date

Is normally empty. If set this stops the user from pick confirming priot to the date provided.

SSCC Required

If this order requires SSCC to be recorded for the order then checking this box will force the user to enter them at the picking stage.

Pick Instructions

An instruction given only to the warehouse on the pick note or if using FLEX on the picking device.

There are three ways to set the pick date

  1. When you have Distribution connected it will lookup the delivery area and work out the pick date in order to get the delivery to the delivery area in time, so this can be set to 1,2,3 days and it used the delivery day calendar.

  2. For collections it uses the collection area and the setup which can be found in the sites menu

  3. When using Simple Order planning it is set using this feature

  4. It can be set manually, if you do so then you need to FIX this otherwise the system may try to recalculate if any changes are made.

Booking

  • Booking Required - you should check this if the order does require to be Booked in, this will not allow you to pick the order until you have the Booking Date from VD or manually entered

  • Booking Contact - this is the Contact for the Booking

  • Booking Email - Email address for the Booking contact

  • No Delivery Before - Do not Delivery before dd/mm/yyyy   

    • If you set this field the system will pick the next delivery date on or after the date provided.

  • No Delivery After - Do not Delivery after dd/mm/yyyy

    • If you set this field the system will pick a delivery date on or before the date provided

    • If this cannot be met then the warehouse will contact you

  • Booking Date - this will be populated from VD or manually entered

  • Booking Ref - the reference for the Booking

  • Over-ride charge area band - allowing you to make this free

  • Change the charge customer for the delivery to another customer code.

  • Enter a delivery point email and issue email address for email notifications from distribution (as an alternative to SMS/Whats app)
