VW User Maintenance

This screen is where you can set up any users you wish to have access to the system and assign them to a User Group.

Tip

If this is a new user on the server you need to request a new user to be set up for the server before you add them to the user list here - more details at Licensing

You would need to have the correct access rights to access this screen.

What does this screen show

This screen shows the username, the group the user is allocated, whether they are restricted using the customer group, when their last login was, if their login is active and whether the system thinks this user is currently logged on.

Add New / Edit

Whether you are editing or creating a new user the same form will be presented when you click either button

Options

email - this is essential as we send out many reports and enquiries and notifications through email.

Most of the other options are drop down, if you do not use Customer Group or Team those can be left empty.

default site - some of the forms in the system use the default site to speed up your access.

GDPR options

There are two options on the system which allow the user access to secure functions.

  • Can view PII - you can see personal info

  • Can view Anonymous PII -

    Make sure you tick the ACTIVE check box to allow this user to logon to the system

    Tip

    The following fields should be completed - Full name/ username/ password/ email/ default site

    The email address is used to send reports and information to the user, if this is not completed the system will simply not send the information to the user.

    Description

    User Group

    This defines the user access rights group that this user will use when accessing the Vision application.

    Customer Group

    This is part of an additional module where you can limit the user to only be able to access the customer information within the customer group e.g. You have a customers own employees who need access to the system, this will limit their access to ONLY the customers from within the group.

    Team

    Goods Inwards Team, if you use these you can setup the user and customer to be within a team and then when they are searching for goods arriving for their team to process it will only show the items for the team

    Default Site

    This is used for some warehouse processes to speed up the selection criteria on the screen.

    Can View PII

    this user is able to see personal information such as name and address on the customer accounts.

    Can view Anonymous PII

    • you as an administrator can still see personal info even when the user is marked as anonymous only

    Printers

    This is the user default printers.

    Some warehouse functions offer the user the ability to choose from a defined list

    • Your Printer

    • The warehouse printer

    • the site printer

    • another printer - which displays the entire list

    The Your Printer obtains the information from this tab in the setup.

    Order Rights

    If the user needs to place orders and withdraw stock from the warehouse you need to provide order rights which define which orders the user is allowed to use.

    This list will only display movement types which are switched on within your system.
