Service Limits

Rate limits are implemented for some services to ensure a good level of performance for all users. 

Rate limits are sometimes defined differently based on whether you're using the parameters to filter the output or not.  For example service ID 2610 (Products) has an optional "ProductCode" parameter, if it's not provided then no filtering occurs and all results are returned (you're allowed to do this twice per hour), whereas if you supply the product code the results are filtered (you're allowed to do this 6 times per hour per product code). 

Where a service is rate limited, if you call the service up to the limit, the API will refuse to process further requests and an appropriate response code will be returned to your application until sufficient time has passed.  The table below gives details of these limits.
