Sales Team Apportionment

This feature was added to the system to help with larger companies where they were finding salesmen were holding stock through sales orders for their clients whilst leaving nothing available to sell for other teams or sales people.

This does not need to be setup within your system this is an optional feature

 

How to set it up

You need to add sales teams, this is carried out through the maintenance → sales menu Sales

 

When setting this section up you will be able to default how much is automatically allocated to each team for each stock receipt, you can also adjust this within the product setup

Or if you would like to maintain all the products you can use the Maintain Sales team apportionment which is also found in the Maintenance → Sales menu. Sales

The Sales Order Auto-Allocation functionality on Sales Order will not work well with Sales Team Apportionment. There will be times when the person saving the Order does not have enough stock apportioned to them. This will leave lines unallocated on the Orders requiring manual intervention.
