Alternative Trading Names

This is an additional module which is referenced by the system using the name “Alternative Trading Names”

This module requires an additional license for which there is a small additional monthly charge.

Purpose

Used by customers who are trading as one limited company however their trade sales are known as one name and their other sales are known by another name, the best example is for customers with an online presence where they call their online shop something different to the real company name, and there is a requirement to issue documents in the name of the alternative.

Setup

System Configuration

Within the system configuration you can enter an alternative company name, address and other information

VAT No
Registered Office (entire address into a single field)
Registration numbers
Logo

You must fill in all the details, if you do not then it will be missing from the sales order output.

Once you load the logo you can view this using the View button on the right side of the form.

Customer Configuration

By default all customers are clients of the main account, if you wish to use the alternative trading information then you select the alternative company name in the “Clients of” drop down box

After changing this remember to save the customer record.

Bank Accounts

You may need customers to pay into an alternative bank account, you can set up bank account details in the main menu and you can then alter the bank accounts shown on the analysis tab of the customer setup.

You do not require any more than one bank account.

If you need to have additional then you should use a report template which includes multiple accounts.

Sales Document Layouts

The logo and the fields highlighted on the image opposite are modified with the entries in the alternative customer information.

All outputs no matter which trading name you use will utilise the same report template

If this is not suitable and you need alternative information on the template for each trader then you will need to pay to have a customised template added to the system specifically for your purposes.
