Creation Group (Stock)

The Stock Menu creation group allows you multiple options to set up product codes within Commerce, as well as add suppliers and producers.

Some of the options are also replicated within the Purchase → Creation Menu as you will need to use the options whilst entering a new purchase order, the links below will take you to the correct pages.

Dynamic Product

Dynamic Product Code Creation allows you to generate Product Codes using a set formula.

The Details for the formula used to generate the Product Codes will be set up using the Dynamic Product Code Administration option in the System settings group of System menu.

Once you have click on Generate this will generate you a new code for this product. you will need to click Save. Then, it will open up the Product Maintenance screen.

All the fields that has been set in the Dynamic Product Code Administration screen need to fill in on this screen.

In the Product Maintenance screen, you will be able to amend the auto-generated Product Code by un-checking the Auto Generate Product Code, this must be done before hitting save on the Product Maintenance Screen.

The country code generated when you clicked Generate button on the Dynamic Product Code window is collected from the Country codes maintenance window’s Auto Generate Code field. For example, If you have given AD in the Auto Generate Code field for the country Andorra when Generating Dynamic Product Code for a product from Andorra, the system will use AD as its country code.

Product Replication

A replicate product is used to replicate a product that you have already set up to a new Product Code.

You would need to put a new Vintage for the new product to replicate the product.

The information from the existing product code will be passed over to the new code, however, no transactional data or stockholding information will be replicated.

LWIN Product Creation

LWIN Product uses Liv-ex information to create your product.

When you click the Retrieve button, this will connect to Liv-ex and populate a list of matching results in the screen for you to select the correct match from, which will then pre-populate as many fields as possible on the screen, and allow you to create new records for the non-free text fields such as the ‘Region’
