Depot
A Depot is a place where goods are distributed from
Depots can service several sites at the same time and a site can be a site which is linked to Vision Distribution or a site which is linked with a Consignment Customer.
Depot
When you open this form you will be presented with the Depot tab displaying similar to the below.
You can have as many Delivery Depots as you want.
Some may be related to physical Depots within your organization and some may be virtual (used to help organize your Deliveries).
External Carrier
For details on which parcel carriers you can link to then click this link: Carrier Integration
The External Carrier will need to be filled in if you would use this customer for an Order that will be using an External Carrier.
Repacking Options
When there is a need to repack items into a single container we use a very simple procoss of x items per case
Repack - Select this on if you want to repack everything into standard case sizes which are defined in the repack SPC field. This means if you have 4 cases of 6 items and your repack SFC is 12 then this becomes 2 x cases of 12.
Repack SFC - this is the standard normal amount of items you can fit into a single case if you have 9 then based on 12 SPC it would be 1 carton to despatch if you have 16 items then it would be 2 cartons to despatch.
Repack Large Format - these are generally send individually but you can decide at what size these would be packed seperately enter into the SS the single item litres you will pack from and the size of the case you will pack into.
Charging
If you add Additional Charges to the system then this form allows you to vary those charges for this specific depot e.g. A London Delivery depot may charge more for a timed delivery.
The customer additional charges will over ride this setting.

Printing
The printing tab is designed to allow you to setup default printers so that items which are automatically printed
Make sure you are entering the details correct otherwise printing will not work
General Printing
Std Printer Name
This is the printer where your manifest will print to and along with the number of copies of the manifest.
When you print the manifest if you are using DEPOT PRINTING in Vision warehousing then you will have a manifest printed followed by the delivery notes for the manifest.
Routing Note Printer
This is used when you are not using the load or depot planning screen options where the transport planners need pieces of paper to be printed to sort.
If you plan to use this please let us know as this option is not used by any customer as at 01/01/2021 so we plan to remove it at some point.
Manifest Finalisation Outputs
When the manifest is output there are a number of pages which can be printed upto a 5 part document.
Select which pages you wish to generate in the maniest output
In addition to printing you can also opt to add an email address into the “email manifest to” box where a copy of the manifest is send to on email.
In conjunction with the above email manifest we also provide the email pick list, this is used when you are utulising the delivery system repick option from the warehouse bulk pick facility, whereby you are bulk (group) picking the stock for a specific depot to deliver, you will then mark it up on specific pallet ID’s and send to the remote depot, where the remote depot can be provided with vehicle manifests along with repicking notes to allow for fast vehicle picking at the remote depot.
Post Manifest Finalisation
You can now set the time when customers are told their deliveries ar on the way, at present this is defined as 0800 but does not work for all depots but it stops us sending SMS / WhatsAPP / emails to customers at 0500 when a driver leaves the depot.
You can now define the “reasonable” time to send out these despatch confirmations.
