As part of the initial setup of the Vision platform we will need to be able to print to your network as such this usually requires a VPN and network printers, some additional pages have been added for further information

Why do we need this ?

Whilst you will connect from your network to an internet address and a FQDN e.g. XXX.ontech.cloud, this only provides you with the ability to connect to remote desktop and to print using RDP available printers

RDP Printers need to be using the latest version of windows which is still supported, if you use older versions which are not supported then you will have random issues which the Vision team will be unable to resolve.

The system will utilise the VPN tunnel to send print jobs, which the server renders and sends, directly to the printer at your end of the VPN tunnel.

Your server printers (those setup on the server) MUST be on a fixed IP address otherwise each time we print to it there is a potential that the printer IP address has changed.
