Country

This screen is used to Add New or Edit existing Country details

  • If a non-GB Country, you should enter the correct Delivery Area for any Deliveries to this Country if you know it or Press F11 to search using the Navigation Panel.

  • Check the Uses PostCode field if you want to use different Delivery Areas depending on the PostCode entered on the Delivery.

    • Un-check this field if you want any Deliveries to this Country to go to the Delivery Area entered above regardless of any PostCode entered on the Delivery.

    • For any non-GB Country the Delivery Area would normally be set and the Uses PostCode unchecked.

  • Correct setting up of the Country screen for each Country that you will deliver to is vital for Transport Charging to work.

  • Any Delivery that does not have a Valid Country Code and PostCode (if Uses PostCode is checked) will not pass validation on entry to Vision Distribution and will be put on Hold.

  • Your system would normally have most Country Codes set up for you but there may be times when you will need to add new ones (or non-standard ones for special circumstances).

    • You will have to add any Delivery Areas for countries that need it.

  • Check the Postcodes Mandatory if using the Country Code in a Delivery, this will force the user to enter a Postcode

  • Check the EU Country, if the Country is in the EU.

If you have Uses PostCode unchecked and the Delivery Area is missing on a Country, Vision Distribution will not be able to determine the correct Delivery Area and the Transport Charging will not work for this Country.
