Commerce Implementation Cycle
Â
 | Day1 | Day2 | Day3 | Day4 | Day5 |
Week 1 | Sign Contract | Sales Invoice Sent | Â | Â | Payment Made |
Week 2 | Setup Docs Issued Data Import Docs Issued | Â | Â | Â | Â |
Week 3 | Setup Docs Returned | Docs Checked | Commerce Build | Â | Â |
Week 4 | Â | Â | Â | Â | Commerce Ready for Data |
When week 5 starts is determined by when the customer is ready with the data for the imports. The customer will be requested for a date when week 5 can begin once the documents are returned, if the project will roll in then week 5 is immediately possible however many customers are unable to provide data for week 5 and ask for longer time, in this scenario a minimum 4 week notice is required to ensure Ontech can provide resources for the import and training to take place. The scenario below is based on the standard imports which are required from every customer, if additional imports are requested this may impact the go live date | |||||
Week 5 | Customer Data Provided | Customer Data Checked | Customer Data Import Start | Â | Â |
 |  |  |  |  | |
Week 6 | Â | Â | Product Data Provided | Product Data Check | Customer Data Import Complete |
 |  |  |  |  | |
Week 7 | Product Data Import Start | Â | Product Data Import End | Stock Data Provided (EOD) | Stock Data Loaded System Ready |
 |  |  |  |  | |
Week 8 | System Live In Use | Â | Â | Â | Â |
 |  |  |  |  |  |
Â
Once data is imported the customer is expected to maintain it e.g. Add and update customer records, this is more important for Products because when the stock is loaded the product must exist.
