Implementation Process

Once you sign up for Vision Commerce you will be sent to this page where you can find out details of what we need to get you setup and what you need to need to complete.

Please complete it in the order shown below, this will help us with the setup process, if a step does not apply to you simply move onto the next one.

The speed of the implementation is completely in your control, most customers do not want to schedule fixed dates to delivery each stage below therefore you need to use the longer lead times as we simply do not have staff members waiting around for your input, once we have it we will schedule it.

1	All customers	Provide us with your customer setup details. VC New Customer Setup Once you provide these, where planned in advance it will take 5 working days to setup your base data set, where it is not planned you need to allow 10 working days for us to plan the time for our resources. You will then be provided with instructions for install and passwords.
2	Only if you are importing data	If you are importing data then take a look at the import templates Data Import Options
3	If you are connecting to a finance system	Check out the finance information VC Finance System Options Once you provide these, where planned in advance it will take 5 working days to setup your base data set, where it is not planned you need to allow 10 working days for us to plan the time for our resources. Arrange the connection to your finance system
4	If step 2 applied then so will this.	Provide us with your completed import templates Once you provide these, where planned in advance it will take 10 working days to complete the import, where not planned your will need to allow for 20 working days to complete as we have to plan the resources ad-hoc. Arranging the dates for training and go live at this point.
5	All customers	Training for commerce VC Training
6	All customers	We will load your data and we need to arrange a time to import your stock VC Post Training Checks
7	All customers	Start using Vision Commerce

Commerce Implementation Cycle

The below example is where you are using OUR data for training and not your own. Any additional components such as the WEB API can be only really be tested after the stock is imported so you will need to build a second stock import into the plan to allow for testing of this component that you may require.

When week 5 starts is determined by when the customer is ready with the data for the imports. The customer will be requested for a date when week 5 can begin once the documents are returned, if the project will roll in then week 5 is immediately possible however many customers are unable to provide data for week 5 and ask for longer time, in this scenario a minimum 4 week notice is required to ensure Ontech can provide resources for the import and training to take place. The scenario below is based on the standard imports which are required from every customer, if additional imports are requested this may impact the go live date

Once data is imported the customer is expected to maintain it e.g. Add and update customer records, this is more important for Products because when the stock is loaded the product must exist.

Training Period	We have to fit in training during this period, limited to max 3 hours per day
