Analysis Code Setup

The analysis code maintenance is used to set up analysis codes for both customers, delivery points and products which are used within the setup of those components.

Whilst this allows you to set up codes and descriptions you can also use this to post to different nominals, by default your system is configured to split postings based on the account manager, if you do not fill those fields in then the default nominals are used.

What can you alter

You can alter the Codes for the below

• Product

  • UDF Fields only (these have to be specified at system setup and part of the advanced setup)

• Customer

  • Account Manager

  • Type

  • Outlet

  • Area

  • Source

  • Division

  • Classification

• Delivery Addresses

  • Account Manager

  • Area

  • Outlet

• Suppliers

  • UDF Fields only (these have to be specified at system setup and part of the advanced setup)

Adding a new code

Simply go to the next available line and start typing, you only need a code and description.

Stop Using a code

Simply mark the code as archived.

What happens if you edit the code

If you modify the code or description then all existing transactions will contain the new code, however, two analysis codes are held on the movement transactions.

Account Manager / Type is held against each transaction and only the setup and future movements will contain the new code/description.

Budgets and Targets

There are a number of BI enquiries where you are able to report on budgets and targets achieved, this is generally carried out by a salesperson or account manager.

To set up the budgets and targets click the button and you will be presented with a form which allows you to enter values

You only need to enter sales values to have these appear on the reports, the concept is that you set a target and are checking whether the salesperson has achieved the target.

The system is set up to allow you to create for each year, setting the figures and it is designed for monthly or 4 weekly periods which you set through the BI Set Report dates before running the report.
