Vision Suite Launcher

You will be required to download Vision Suite Launcher, this is a windows application and is used to maintain your Commerce application to the latest version.

Click above to download the application, once installed you will need to enter your email address and password that Ontech supplied you when your account was first enabled.

You need to keep this username and password safe, it will be asked for irregularly! We do not keep this and we are only able to issue a new password.

Commerce Compatibility Requirements

Vision Suite Launcher and Commerce is designed to run on a windows 10 operating system which has at least 4Gb of memory available after the system loads, it takes up only a few hundred Mb of space but we say to leave 1Gb of space which is small in comparison to many other programs.

Vision applications are all Windows applications and require Microsoft Windows in order to work.

It is possible to run an emulator on Mac and Linux machines in order to emulate a Windows environment, we do not test our system on these emulators, and we do not offer any support should you have any issues whilst using the system.

You will also have to contact your support people to help you install this application should you need it, we can not offer assistance as we have no in house experience with Mac OS.

However, we do know customers who are running this successfully using emulators installed with very little knowledge. They have used Parallels Desktop on the Mac. You will be prompted to install Windows10 when you install this but you can simply begin the VSL install (we are told…)

Display Resolution

The commerce system is designed to operate in FULL HD which is 1920 x 1028 however you can use it on laptops where the screen is supporting 1600 x 900.

It is also important that the scaling/zoom factor on the laptop is 100% as this can sometimes cause an issue with the navigation menu.

V2021.1 replaces the navigation menu with a brand new navigation and this should solve the scaling issue you may experience.

 

Installation of Vision Suite Launcher

Once downloaded you need to install the Vision Suite Launcher in order to use Vision Commerce, this should be installed on your local machine and installation is standard and the same as any other windows application where you are expected to hit next several times until it is finished.

Once installed, the purple Launcher icon will show on the desktop:

When you click the purple icon it will open the launcher window and this shows you the applications that you have access to.

When you open the application for the first time you will be asked for your account information. This is the email address and password provided by the Vision Team for you.

 

Forgetting or Changing your Vision Suite Launcher password

There may be instances where you forget the password you use to login into the Vision Suite Launcher software, or simply wish to change the password you use for security purposes.

In order to do this, you can navigate to https://hub.visionlive.cloud using any web browser and you will be presented with the Vision Live login screen, with a Forgot Password? button.

Once you click the Forgot Password? button and you will be taken to the Forgotten Password form, on this screen you will need to enter the email you use to log in to the Vision Suite Launcher application.

This will then send an email .


Opening Commerce for the first time

Selecting one of the Vision application icons will open the application to log on, if there is a new version you will see this on the screen as it will download and install automatically.

Upgrades to Vision Commerce automatically and in the background.

If you receive a message telling you there is a new version but it does not load automatically, click the uninstall button in Vision Suite Launcher and then click Refresh, the system should reload.

Only once the upgrade is complete the new version should be available and you can log on.

 

If you see multiple icons, just make sure you are clicking on the one you need to access your live system. Sometimes you may see a test system visible.

This is the database you are connecting to, once selected the company name will automatically load into the window below.

Reset

If you are told you are logged on already it means you have not closed the application down the last time or you are logged on from somewhere else.

Use this RESET to reset your logon to allow you to logon again.

Cancel

Closes this Login Screen.

Login

Click this button after entering the username, password and select the correct Environment
