Goods Inwards

Pre-advice
This screen will allow you to view and edit the In Progress and submitted Pre-Advice. Also, you can create a new Pre-Advice as well.
You will see separate tabs for ‘In Progress Pre-Advice’ and ‘Submitted Pre-Advice’.
In both tabs, you can see an option for filtering entries. Fill in the fields and click search to find the specific pre-advice. There is a toggle button available in the filter section of the ‘In Progress Pre-Advice’ to find the ‘Submission in Progress’ Pre-Advices.
In Progress Pre-Advice
In this section(see the above image), you will be able to view, edit, save, submit and cancel the already created Pre-advice. In the Pre-Advice table, you would be able to see the status of each Pre-Advice and you can click any line to update the Pre-Advice details.
Submitted Pre-Advice
In this section, you will see a table that contains all the submitted Pre-Advice. Here also you will be able to view the status of each entry. In each Pre-Advice line, there are two buttons available -View & Edit.
If you click the View button you will be directed to the detailed Pre-Advice screen. You can only view the details that have been already entered in Pre-Advice. To edit these details, you need to click the Edit button that is right next to the View button.
Add New Pre-Advice
To add a new Pre-Advice click the ‘Add New’ button on the top right side of the screen.
You will be directed to the screen where you need to fill in the fields in 3 steps.
These 3 steps are:
Supplier Detail
Transport Details
Order Lines
Every field that is marked with a red star is mandatory to be filled. You will only be able to click Next button and go to the next step if all the mandatory fields are filled.
In the first step - Supplier Detail you will see the Close and Save buttons at the top of the screen.
You need to fill in the ‘Purchase Order Header' section first. This section will be visible in all the 3 steps.
Fill in your purchase order reference number or you can auto-fill the reference number using the 'Auto Your Ref’ toggle button. Enabling this toggle button will create a random purchase order reference number for your pre-advice. By default, the PO Date will be the current date and you can change it to any date of your choice.
Now in the Supplier Details section fill in the supplier details. This can be a saved supplier or a new supplier. When selecting the saved supplier it will auto-fill the rest of the fields. Or you can type in new supplier details.
Now click Next to enter the next step - Transport Details.
Unlike the previous step, the Cancel and Submit button is enabled on this screen.
Fill in all the mandatory fields including the expected delivery date. Now click the Next button.
The next step is - Order Lines. Fill in the Lines Detail here and
Once you enter the product details and set cost per unit as well as currency, click the save button on the right side of this line. Then the ‘Submit’ button will be enabled. Click it to submit the Pre-Advice. Once you have clicked on Submit button, this will be sent over to your Warehouse by an EDI file where they will progress.
If you go to the In Progress Pre-Advice the status of this entry can be seen as ‘Submitting’.
Supplier
This screen will allow you to view existing Suppliers and create a new supplier.
Use the filters to search for a specific Supplier.
The results are read-only, when clicking on the Supplier, you will be able to View/Edit the Supplier.
Add New Supplier
Fill in all the mandatory fields- Supplier code, Name, Address, and Contact details.
Click ‘Save’ will allow you to save the supplier to the system.
Transporter
This screen will allow you to view the existing Transporter and create a new Transporter.
To view a specific Transporter, use the fields in the filter section and click the search button.
If you clicked any transporter, you will be directed to the screen where the detailed information can be found. This screen is read-only.
Add New Transporter
Fill in all the mandatory details and then the Save button will be enabled. Click it to save the new Transporter.
