Service Codes

This was designed for full route planning and as such only appears on the route planning forms.

The design of this was for customer to alert you to requirements for a specific delivery such as Tail Life Required / 2 man delivery / no large vehicles etc.

During the initial loading into Distribution the service is confirmed by the user and in addition the inbound checking service matches postal geolocation for previous requirements and asks you whether they should apply to the new delivery thus allowing you to keep track of specific drop point requirements without the need for customers telling you on each order.

When route planning is used the vehicle and transport item need to also have these codes associated and then we will match a delivery consignment to an appropriate vehicle which has the codes available.

These Service Codes are used on the Transport Item and Vehicle Type screens.
