VW Customer SQL Views

This section contains information on database views which have been set up on the Vision Warehousing system and are available to customers to use and build into reports, excel spreadsheets, and data extracts.

The views are designed to provide customers with an easy way of finding our information on stocks, movements, orders, receipts without the need of knowing how to link and build table joins. Information in the views has been simplified to provide you with fields that you generally use and can understand.

These views are not supported as part of your support agreement.

Ontech can provide some basic training and assistance helping you use these views and build excel or report information from them, such training or assistance if chargeable at our training rates.

We can also add new views, add new fields to these views as required, just contact us for details.

This feature will be removed from the system Q1, 2016, and is being replaced by a new Business Intelligence module.  This is being removed because it can cause a serious impact on server performance. Customers wishing to use ODBC are welcome at their OWN risk and Ontech will provide secure access to your data schema allowing you access to your data, but this will impact your performance and if used incorrectly could corrupt data. If you do this then any issues caused would be outside any support agreement and would result in charges and potential downtime until they are resolved.

The current views were designed to provide additional information where this information was not easily and readily accessible within the main application, we will review the views and if the information is now available on the system we will not carry this view forward to the business intelligence module.
