Settings
Settings at Logon
When opening the application on the chosen device the Log in screen will be displayed.Â
To Log in to Vision Flex, you will need to be set up as a user. Details can be found on page Flex User Maintenance Tab.
To access the device settings, select the gear icon located at the bottom left corner of the screen.
To close the application, press the arrow icon on the bottom right of the screen.
After entering your username and password, tap the "SIGN IN" button to Log in.

Accessing Settings

Once Logged into Vision Flex:
User Settings can be accessed by tapping the "Person" icon at the bottom, centre of the screen

If your profile is locked in Vision Warehousing you will not be able to access the settings.
Â
User General Settings
Â
This screen enables you to designate the Site and Warehouse that users can access and utilise within the application
You are not able to use a warehouse if they are not selected and you will be restricted on what you will see on the application. This is useful if a site has multiple warehouses and users are restricted to one area / warehouse.

The device can only be used on a single site at any time.

User Printer Settings

It's essential to pre-define your printers. Often, the system will automatically print, relying on these settings to determine the destination for printing items

You are able to print using the following in the Settings - Default Printer drop-down
No printer
Bluetooth
Network
Android Print Service

Printers have to be setup in VW WMS system to allow them to be seen on the devices.
Â
There are two options when using the system you can either
Print Locally
This uses a printer connected directly to the handheld device or a printer which you can locally access through Bluetooth. All settings are within the application
This is also known as the Android print service.

Network Print (Preferred)
- this is the preferred option
Labels are printed to a warehouse network printer. You must specify the printer you plan to use, which is configured within the WMS system

User Picking Settings
Â
This screen allows you to select the options for the picking settings.
This includes setting the vehicle, which limits the height to where a picker will pick to.
Warehouse Vehicle
Warehouse Vehicle must be set up in the VW WMS system before it is visible on the device.
Free Pick
Allow Free Pick change option can be selected here -
This allows the user to freely pick another rotation of the same product. It was intended where customers bulk store in a single location for them to select the stock which is at the front of the location.
However, it will show and allow you to pick stock at alternative locations.
In order to enable this option you need to switch this on within the site settings on Vision Warehousing site menu.
Device Settings
Primary and Fallback servers are used to communicate with the Vision Suite software.
Debug Logging
- Allows logging of actions carried out on the device which helps us diagnose issues
Device ID
- Used for adding the device to the WMS system, all your actions are tracked through this device ID.
Support Upload
You may be required to upload the data from your device for support purposes.
Restore
Will allow you to restore your local databaseÂ
Cancel
- Closes the form, discarding any changes made.
